We hired District Groove and DJ Justin for our wedding last week. THEY WERE AMAZING! Everyone is still telling us how the band was one of their favorite parts of the wedding. I also appreciated how they adhered to our black-tie dress code. The band members were so interactive when we had our last dance party of the night. Encore was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding! They kept all 230 of our guests on the dance floor from the first song until the very last. We've heard from so many friends and family since the wedding, and everyone keeps raving about how incredible the band was. What made the experience even more special was their willingness to learn a few songs that were personally meaningful to us, even though they weren't part of their standard setlist. They absolutely nailed every one of them and made our night feel so personal. One of the most memorable moments of the evening was when they invited a family member on stage to sing a couple of songs with them. It created such a fun, unforgettable experience that everyone loved. Encore exceeded every expectation we had. Their talent, energy, professionalism, and ability to keep the dance floor packed all night long were second to none. On New Year’s Day 2025, our family huddled up on the comfy family room couch and spent the entire day watching YouTube videos of wedding bands and college football bowl games! It was a productive day. Our teams were victorious and more important, after viewing hundreds of bands, we all agreed that Spectrum (Washington Talent Agency) was exactly what we were hoping for! (For context, I’m the mother of the bride.) A few weeks later we attended a Spectrum showcase. Even in a studio setting on a snowy Thursday night, Spectrum blew us away with their sheer talent and engaging personalities. We signed a contract immediately. I can’t say enough about how enjoyable it was to work with the Washington Talent Agency (WTA) Representative, Jake Sherman, and the Spectrum Bandleader, Ben Kaufman, in the lead-up to the wedding. Jake and Ben are both consummate professionals who quickly became friends. They went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was seamless and perfect. Our wedding venue was the DAR Memorial Continental Hall in DC. Cocktails in the Library, dinner in the O’Byrne Gallery, and dancing on the gorgeous historic outdoor Portico with a full view of national monuments. Spectrum provided all the music from 5pm until 11pm. From the moment our daughter and her husband’s wedding began, Spectrum exceeded every expectation. The 9-piece band included keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, two male vocalists, and one female vocalist. The remarkable horn section created a full powerful sound and a contagious energy that filled the Portico all night long. The vocalists were beyond outstanding, not only incredibly talented, but also super engaging, charismatic, and full of personality. The Spectrum musicians didn’t just ‘perform’ – they all knew exactly how to connect with our guests and keep the celebration going. The dance floor (Portico) was packed from beginning to end, which was exactly what we had hoped for. Spectrum’s extensive knowledge of traditional Jewish wedding music and customs made the Hora and other special moments feel authentic and unforgettable! Spectrum truly honored those traditions while seamlessly blending them with an extraordinary mix of music that kept guests of every age dancing. Watching our daughter and her husband surrounded by so much celebration and happiness is a memory I’ll cherish forever, and the Spectrum musicians played a substantial role in creating that magic! We were especially grateful for WTA and Spectrum’s professionalism, flexibility, and very accommodating nature during the week before the wedding. The weather was damp and unpredictable. They worked closely with our wedding planner (Lisa Havard) and graciously adapted to setting up outside on the Portico without issue. Spectrum’s positive attitude and willingness to accommodate last-minute changes meant everything to us and helped make an already emotional day completely stress-free. Choosing Spectrum as our band was one of the very best decisions we made for the wedding. They are exceptionally talented, professional, super high-energy, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience. My husband and I recently hosted a one-year wedding anniversary party and worked with the Black Tie band from the Washington Talent Agency! On the administrative side, I worked with Steve Shannon, who was extremely responsive and thorough, making the band selection and booking process seamless and fun. We are so happy with our choice to book Black Tie! The energy they brought to the party was incredible—they had our guests on the dance floor all night, exactly what we hoped for. The instrumentals, vocals, and overall sound quality were top tier. They have an extensive song list and kept the party going with bop after bop after bop! And those dance moves—you can’t help but hit the dance floor when you watch them perform. We also appreciated being able to request songs in advance for the DJ to play during their breaks. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests about the band’s talent and the pure joy they brought to the celebration. The number of times we've heard, “They were the best wedding band I’ve ever heard!” and “That was the most fun I’ve ever had on the dance floor!” is too many to count. We had an excellent experience with WTA from start to finish!! We hired them for photography, videography, and photo booth for our 5/1/2026. The photo booth was a huge hit!! They even held onto hard copies of all of the photos for us (major brownie points for this!). The video is stunning and captures the event from start to finish - VERY helpful since it flew by. Our videographer David worked some serious magic, I'm blown away at how well the video came out. The photos are incredibly elegant and our photographer David was so easy to work with. He directed us when we didn't quite know what to do. David and David were incredibly friendly and may as well have been guests at our wedding! 10/10!!

Washington Talent Agency really came through, big time, when I needed a mad scientist impersonator for a special event. I was drawing blanks and they came up with a REALLY good actor who played the part perfectly! What a hit he was. They were easy to work with and really helped this event be a big success. Thank you!
