Spectrum was a dream to work with and was the absolute highlight of our wedding! They are INCREDIBLE! So much fun and so helpful. Thank you for keeping the party full of energy, incredible vocals, and unbelievable musicians!

WTA is my go-to as a DMV wedding planner. Their bands are held to a high standard by management, and it shows. Talented, of course, but also professionally dressed, communicative and flexible. Spectrum, Onyx, Sound Connection, Millennium, just to name a few. You really cannot go wrong within their roster.

On New Year’s Day 2025, our family huddled up on the comfy family room couch and spent the entire day watching YouTube videos of wedding bands and college football bowl games! It was a productive day. Our teams were victorious and more important, after viewing hundreds of bands, we all agreed that Spectrum (Washington Talent Agency) was exactly what we were hoping for! (For context, I’m the mother of the bride.) A few weeks later we attended a Spectrum showcase. Even in a studio setting on a snowy Thursday night, Spectrum blew us away with their sheer talent and engaging personalities. We signed a contract immediately. I can’t say enough about how enjoyable it was to work with the Washington Talent Agency (WTA) Representative, Jake Sherman, and the Spectrum Bandleader, Ben Kaufman, in the lead-up to the wedding. Jake and Ben are both consummate professionals who quickly became friends. They went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was seamless and perfect. Our wedding venue was the DAR Memorial Continental Hall in DC. Cocktails in the Library, dinner in the O’Byrne Gallery, and dancing on the gorgeous historic outdoor Portico with a full view of national monuments. Spectrum provided all the music from 5pm until 11pm. From the moment our daughter and her husband’s wedding began, Spectrum exceeded every expectation. The 9-piece band included keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, two male vocalists, and one female vocalist. The remarkable horn section created a full powerful sound and a contagious energy that filled the Portico all night long. The vocalists were beyond outstanding, not only incredibly talented, but also super engaging, charismatic, and full of personality. The Spectrum musicians didn’t just ‘perform’ – they all knew exactly how to connect with our guests and keep the celebration going. The dance floor (Portico) was packed from beginning to end, which was exactly what we had hoped for. Spectrum’s extensive knowledge of traditional Jewish wedding music and customs made the Hora and other special moments feel authentic and unforgettable! Spectrum truly honored those traditions while seamlessly blending them with an extraordinary mix of music that kept guests of every age dancing. Watching our daughter and her husband surrounded by so much celebration and happiness is a memory I’ll cherish forever, and the Spectrum musicians played a substantial role in creating that magic! We were especially grateful for WTA and Spectrum’s professionalism, flexibility, and very accommodating nature during the week before the wedding. The weather was damp and unpredictable. They worked closely with our wedding planner (Lisa Havard) and graciously adapted to setting up outside on the Portico without issue. Spectrum’s positive attitude and willingness to accommodate last-minute changes meant everything to us and helped make an already emotional day completely stress-free. Choosing Spectrum as our band was one of the very best decisions we made for the wedding. They are exceptionally talented, professional, super high-energy, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Spectrum (and WTA) without hesitation!

Best band ever — We hired Spectrum for our wedding. Even with high recommendations, they completely blew us away with how phenomenal they were. They were so good, if you looked away you would forget that you’re listening to a live band. Everything from the one-on-one coordination with Ben, to the actual event went off without a hitch. So many of our guests raved about how great the band was and the father of the bride even said it was the first time he didn’t want the music at a wedding to end because he was enjoying it so much. Spectrum Band — Spectrum was FANTASTIC!!!! Literally incredible!!! Everyone was talking about how amazing they were - they brought excellent energy and all sounded great!! Spectrum was a Hit — From the very beginning, Spectrum was the perfect wedding band. Ben was so calm and patient in the conversations we had in the lead up to the event, even as we were picking first dance songs in the final days before the wedding. He had such a handle on the layout of the evening, and worked well with our wedding planner to make sure everyone was on the same page. On the night of the event, Spectrum outdid themselves. Everyone had a blast and the dance floor was packed the entire night with representation from all generations. We couldn't have asked for better performers. Their talent was incredible and they really connected with the room. We would recommend Spectrum to anyone getting married in the area!

You must have Spectrum for your wedding — Words cannot describe the incredible job Spectrum did as our wedding band. Their range, energy, and vibes are unmatched by any other bands and I think they were one of the best decisions we made when planning our special day. They did a particularly wonderful job shaping the mood in the room at different points in the evening (an energetic opening set to get people moving, a beautiful collection of softer songs during dinner, and an incredible dance floor). I would hire them a thousand times over and hope that you do too.

Spectrum is Spectacular — Our experience booking Spectrum through Washington Talent Agency could not have gone more smoothly. Purnell at WTA was incredibly organized and thoughtful. Ben met with my wife and I with plenty of time before our wedding and was so attentive to our needs and had great suggestions where we needed them. On the day of the event, Ben and the rest of the members from Spectrum absolutely crushed it! I had multiple people telling me "that was the best band I've ever seen." Spectrum for Wedding at CBBC — THE BEST experience ever having Spectrum perform at our wedding in Stevensville, Maryland. From start to finish Spectrum and Washington Talent were the upmost professionals and absolutely rocked every single song they played. Spectrum Band — We hired Spectrum as our band for our daughter's wedding. They exceeded our expectations. Ben worked with us on our music selections and the band kept the party going all night. My husband and I cannot give enough praise to our band, Spectrum, for the EXPERIENCE, not just music, that they brought to our wedding. We had the band Spectrum play at our wedding in June and they were fabulous! I was a little hesitant at first about a band over a DJ, as I wanted to hear the songs I loved the way I knew them. However, this is a fabulous band and everything they sang was fantastic. I was a very picky bride and probably researched 10-15 vendors for every aspect of my wedding. If you are lucky enough to have this band available on the night of your wedding, book them now! They had EVERYONE, even my Nana out on the dance floor and the're song repertoire is huge (swing, oldies, pop, current R&B)! Huge props also goes to their emcee...

The band we chose was Spectrum through Washington Talent. Words cannot describe how AMAZING Spectrum is. They sound just like the artists of the songs they are singing. They have great energy and get the crowd going. They were a big part of making my wedding so great. They also have a consistent reputation. This is a review for WTA as an agency, NOT the quality of our band (Spectrum, who was off the charts awesome.) My in-laws have used WTA for every family wedding in recent years and has had an incredible band lined up every time.
