Shoko and Yuhi said “I do” in a quiet courthouse ceremony at the Washington, D.C. Marriage License Bureau, proving that some of the most meaningful weddings are also the simplest.

Portraits at the Lincoln, Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt Memorials

After the ceremony, the newlyweds toured Washington, D.C.’s most iconic monuments for portraits — from the columns of the Lincoln Memorial to the reflecting pool at the Jefferson Memorial and the natural setting of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial.

A Stroll by the Tidal Basin and a Finale at Union Station

The afternoon continued along the Tidal Basin before wrapping up under the grand archways of Union Station — a fitting end to a Washington, D.C. courthouse wedding day captured by the Washington Talent photography team.
