Dear Friends at Washington Talent:

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter to praise Spectrum on their performance at our wedding in Altoona , PA on July 14, 2007. 

My wife and I searched for a band that would best reflect our personality.  We looked at bands from Philadelphia , Baltimore , Pittsburgh , Harrisburg and Washington DC - Spectrum was a perfect match. The band’s innate ability to gauge the audience while still holding true to the predetermined playlist was incredible. Spectrum took control of the party as soon as they began, seemingly placing the wedding on auto-pilot. The band’s experience was appreciated as they partnered with the venue to provide smooth transitions from speeches to special dances.

The rhythm and sound was astounding. The band performed with poise, flare, and synergy. Two hundred and twenty guests only left the dance floor to eat. One guest articulated the feeling best when he said “If you didn’t feel like dancing, you didn’t have a soul.” The band members were engaging and their personalities were magnetic. It truly seemed as if they were having as good a time performing as we had dancing. Our appreciation to Spectrum will last a lifetime as they truly “made” the party.

Chet Fortune took control of the event from the moment the band arrived. He certainly provided the reassurance my wife and I needed as the reception began. We know now why he is nicknamed Mr. Entertainment, the man surely did not disappoint.

George left it all on stage that night. His ability to sound exactly like the original artist baffled us. We thought John Legend was in the room with us! We later found out George performed with a dislocated hip that night. We were truly appreciative of his efforts as no one noticed while he was performing. His dedication to the band was extremely heroic.

Finally, the instrumental members of the band may not have been in the limelight, but they did not go unnoticed. The bands took into account the venue’s acoustics and were not overwhelmingly loud.

Although it has been a year, we still receive compliments from our family and friends on how our wedding was the best party they ever attended with the best band ever.  We will recommend (and have recommended) Spectrum and Washington Talent to any and all of our friends and hope to work together with you again in the future!
