HIGH SOCIETY
What are the main ingredients for a great Band?
Talent? Dynamic vocalists? A hot horn section? Try all three!
High Society is lead by Jami and La Teisha, our incredible female vocalists. Young and exciting, these two leading ladies work together to create an impressive show that is never forgotten. Our male vocalists are two of the best in the area. Freddie is a crazy-fun guitarist and Elan is known in the D.C. / Baltimore area as one of the best. Our three horn players are truly exceptional, full time musicians who add excitement with every sound. They have played IN THE BANDS of stars such as Wilson Pickett, The Flamingos, and jazz great Walter Beasley. Their immense talent allows the band to sound authentic playing all types of music from Swing to ‘70s-80s Retro to today’s music.
High Society has been described as "elegant, but fun", "entertaining without being over-the-top" and "A band that appeals to guests from 12 to 82". High Society was honored to play both of President Bush’s official inaugural balls and has played at many of the top fund raisers and social events in the Baltimore/Washington area.
Led by drummer Ken Stern for over 15 years, High Society has been able to keep an inside track on events because of Ken’s influence as former owner of one of
Baltimore
’s largest entertainment agencies. His experience and expertise allow him to work with you to make sure every aspect of the evening is coordinated, the music you want is played and your expectations are exceeded.
In addition, our sax player is also an excellent classical flautist. He and our keyboardist can play for your ceremony and cocktails. Strings can also be added.

On behalf of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, I would like to thank you for your participation at the Bush-Cheney Inaugural Ball. Your superb performance was greatly appreciated by the entire Inaugural staff.
Dennis Grubb, Presidential Inaugural Committee Entertainment Chairman
BRAVO! Right now I'm giving you a standing ovation! You really made the event a winner and me look like a star. Smooth and polished are two words that come to mind. Smooth in that everything flowed much better than in the past. Polished in that High Society added that something extra that moved us from amateurs to professionals.
